About The Alexander Building
Designed by Neel Reid, The Alexander was built in 1919 as a
four-story hotel in the Classical Revival style. Since that time,
The Alexander was refurbished during the 1990's to accommodate
retail and office space. It is located in what is now called the
Central Arts District of Downtown St. Petersburg.
The Alexander was added to the United States National Register
of Historic Places in 1984.
